How to Become a Rocawear Model
Rocawear is a brand-name clothing line that is very popular among teens and hipsters. Becoming a Rocawear model would look great on anyone's resume and can be a very rewarding career with room for growth. To become a Rocawear model, you must be enthusiastic, energetic and photogenic.

Check out different portrait studios. Research different packages and view some of the studio's most recent work. Ask about how long it will take to receive your photos.

Decide on a studio that you wish to take your photos. Set up an appointment with the portrait studio.

Visit the Rocawear website (see Resources) in order to get an idea of what the models are wearing and how they are accessorizing their outfits.

Purchase some new, trendy items from the Rocawear clothing line. Pick out a few accessories that accent the outfit from the line as well.

Set a hair and makeup appointment at your favorite salon. Make the appointment the day of your photo shoot, at least two hours in advance (or depending on how long it will take to have your hair done).

Wear the Rocawear clothing that you purchased to your photo shoot. Be careful not to get the clothing wrinkled or stained before your photo shoot.

Attend the photo session. Upon completion, choose which photos you think would best represent you as a Rocawear model. Ask to have those photos included in your package. Be sure to include a few head shots, but mainly submit body shots.

Pick up your photos. Scan them onto your computer and arrange them in a folder.

Take your measurements (clothing size, waist size, bust size, hip size, height and weight) using a fabric tape measure. Pull the tape measure taut but not tight. Include these measurements in your photo portfolio. Include your full name, address, phone number, website and email address in your portfolio as well.

Visit the Rocawear contact page (see Resources) and locate the email address under "Modeling Inquiries." Email your portfolio to the specified email address.

Wait for a response from the company. If you are called back for an interview, be sure to dress professionally (not necessarily in Rocawear clothing) and portray yourself as professional, hard-working and determined.

Tips & Warnings
As of May 2009, Rocawear is only accepting models who are available on weekdays and live in the New Jersey or New York area. They ask that you do not apply if you do not live in the area or if you are not available during the week. Do not get discouraged if you are not accepted as a Rocawear model. Continue submitting your portfolio to different modeling agencies.
