Instructions

  1. Blending the Oils

    • 1

Find or buy a small, 3- or 4-oz. glass jar that has a dark coloration and comes with a lid or stopper. The dark color of the glass jar will enhance the longevity of your fragrance by protecting it from light, which can affect the composition and smell of fragrance.

    • 2

Pour out 1/3 cup grapeseed oil into the measuring cup. Carefully pour the 1/3 cup of grapeseed oil into the small glass jar. Grapeseed oil is a light, minimally fragranced base oil that will carry the scent of your essential oil very well.

    • 3

Add one or two drops of the essential oil into the small glass jar using the eye dropper. Continue to add in the essential oil one drop at a time until the fragrance is the strength you want. Essential oil is a concentrated formula and therefore very strong. One drop of oil contains a lot of fragrance, so don't make the mistake of adding a lot of essential oil into the small jar all at once.

    • 4

Fasten the lid to the small glass jar and place the oil mixture in a cool, dark place for at least 48 hours. To allow for maximum blending of the oils, allow the oil to sit untouched for up to three weeks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't add in a lot of essential oil at once to your mixture.
