The U.S. Navy is a popular option for young men and women---and even older men and women---seeking a career in the military. Joining requires a visit to a recruiter, and, in the age of the Internet, finding one requires only a few minutes and an Internet connection.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Telephone book (for those who do not have Internet access)

    A few clicks

  1. Step 1

Go to www.navy.com. The U.S. Navy maintains several web sites, but navy.com features an easy-to-find "Find a Recruiter" function.

  2. Step 2

Find the "Find a Recruiter" function. This will be high up on the page and should not be hard to find; the Navy wants its recruiters to be easily accessible. Click on the "Find a Recruiter" button.

  3. Step 3

Enter your ZIP code when asked: Clicking on "Find a Recruiter" will call up a new page where users are prompted to enter the five-digit ZIP code of their home addresses. Type in your ZIP code, then click the "search" button.

  4. Step 4

Write down the information. The recruiter search should provide an address and telephone number.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not have Internet access, Navy recruitment offices are also listed in telephone books. The white business pages should have listings under Navy or United States Navy (or both.)
