Things You'll Need:
- Strong Desire For Peace
- Love For Your Family
- A Creative Flair
-
Step 1
Keep your home as clean as you can. Mess and clutter can bring about stress to an environment. I know it is not always easy to keep a home clean especially when you have small children running around like little tornados but the idea is to keep things as organized and neat as you can. A great solution for keeping toys off the floor is to place a large attractive toy basket in your family room and teach your children to put the toys they’re not playing with in the basket when they are done with them.
-
Step 2
Warm lighting and at least one cozy place to sit and read, with good lighting, and a small table to hold your coffee-cups and a small stack of books really add to the feel. An environment that promotes learning and relaxation is nurturing.
-
Step 3
Making Nutritious meals at dinner time and sitting with your family at the table every evening gives your family a time to look forward to so they may share there stories for the day making communication come easier within a family. Also make it a point to put on soft music (No Television).
-
Step 4
Refrain from screaming and yelling. Families that scream and yell back and forth all day, (even if it just to make requests) often live in a more hectic and stressful state.
Keep cursing and violent movies to a minimum, your home should always feel like a safe haven from the rest of the world, a place of refuge for you and your family. It should always be rated-G so that your children are not facing those ugly realities too soon but rather feel protected from them. -
Step 5
Add fragrant flowers and plug-in air fresheners. Walking into your home after a long day of work to a pleasant smell and a nurturing environment makes it a lot easier for everyone to feel appreciative of their home and want to pitch in a little more often to keep things pleasing. They may even contribute their own ideas to making things more pleasant.
-
Step 6
Finally, don’t forget to remind your family that you love them and give them a big-hug as often as you can, because it won’t be long before your babies are grown and you’ll wish that you savored all those moments you had with them.
