How to Reinstall Dell Games for Windows XP

PC manufacturers offer a variety of incentives to convince potential customers to buy their products--including the free games that are offered by Dell in partnership with Wild Tangent Games. Unfortunately, reformatting your computer or reinstalling Windows XP can lead to the games being lost. They don't have to be lost for good, however; it's actually relatively easy to restore lost Dell games after reinstalling Windows XP.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the Dell games section of the Wild Tangent Games website (see Resources). Download and reinstall any games you had previously installed before reinstalling Windows XP; if you are asked to enter an unlock code or asked for WildCoins, cancel the installation.

    • 2

Click the "Sign In" link at the top right of the web page (next to the small icon of a computer mouse.) Sign in using the email address and password you used when first registering your Dell games.

    • 3

Click the "My Account" link at the top right of the web page (next to the small icon of an envelope). Choose the "View Purchase History/Licenses" link, allowing you to retrieve the previous unlock codes you had used when the games were installed on your old copy of Windows XP.

    • 4

Return to the Wild Tangent Games website if you are still having problems installing your games after retrieving your old unlock codes. It's possible that you have exceeded the normally allowed number of installations for your games; if this is the case, contact Wild Tangent's customer support using the "Customer Support" link at the bottom of the page and explain your situation so you can receive additional license unlocks.
