How to Rid Your Home of Spiders Naturally

To do this, you can use natural remedies rather than expensive sprays or bug bombs. So avoid filling your home with poisons when you want to rid yourself of spiders or other insects.

• Eucalyptus leaves or oils
• Baking soda
• Cleaner with lemon oil

Instructions

1. Clean and unclutter your home. Spiders love to hide away in dark little cubbyholes. They also love wood and cardboard. If you have lots of cluttered shelves or boxes around, those spiders are going to come find them. Get rid of them and immediately you will have fewer spiders to deal with.

2. Wipe down window and door frames with a lemon-oil cleaner. Spiders can taste through their legs and they do not like the taste of lemon oil. This will repel them and make them less likely to enter your home.

3. Go electronic. Purchase a plug-in device that lets out a high-pitched tone that makes bugs stay away. You can find them at home supply stores and department stores.

4. Sprinkle baking soda or place eucalyptus leaves or hedge apples in the places where you've seen spiders. Many people swear by these items and that they work in reducing the number of spiders in the home.

• Consider leaving nonpoisonous spiders alone as they eat other insects, such as mosquitoes.
