This is an easy recipe for a seven layer salad and it can be made in only 15 minutes. This is a great dish for cookouts or family gatherings.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 pre-cooked package of bacon
  • 1 small package of frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 3 teaspoons of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  1. Step 1

Thoroughly wash the head of lettuce. Take out the core and tear the lettuce with your hands. Do not use a knife or the edges will start to turn brown. Put lettuce in a large round bowl.

  2. Step 2

Chop the onion into bite size pieces and add to the lettuce.

  3. Step 3

Next, layer the package of pre-cooked bacon on top of the lettuce along with the package of frozen peas and shredded cheese.

  4. Step 4

Mix the mayonnaise, milk and sugar in a small bowl. Mix until creamy. You can add more or less of the mayonnaise milk and sugar to suit your own taste. Pour mixture over the top of the salad. Cover and let sit in the refrigerator overnight. Just before serving, mix the salad with a spoon to coat the lettuce mixture.
