Instructions

    • 1

Hit the core of the head of lettuce against a cutting board to loosen the core, then remove it with your hands. Tear the lettuce into smaller pieces, place in a colander and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Shake out the excess water, then put lettuce in a large bowl.

    • 2

Remove the outer skin of the onion, then chop the onion into bite-sized pieces. Layer it evenly on top of the lettuce lettuce.

    • 3

Crumble or cut the precooked bacon strips into small pieces, and layer it evenly over the onion. Then layer the frozen peas, followed by the shredded cheese.

    • 4

Mix the mayonnaise, milk and sugar in a small bowl until creamy. You can add more or less of the mayonnaise, milk and sugar to suit your own taste. Pour mixture over the top of the salad. Cover, and let sit in the refrigerator overnight. Just before serving, mix the salad with a spoon to coat the lettuce mixture.
