Teaching fun games about manners can make a child learn respect for others. Parents should start teaching manners at a young age. Deciding when to start teaching proper manner and etiquette can be a challenge. This eHow article will teach parents how to make learning manners fun. Here's a few cool tips on getting started with this while having lots of fun.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Start by placing your child in front of a mirror. Teach him how to look at himself and identify personal hygiene issues. Instruct him to comb his hair, floss his teeth and tuck in his shirt. For every item he finds and corrects, he scores one point. Once he gets to ten points you can give him a prize.

  2. Step 2

Next, try playing a fun game about manners at the dinner table. Start with 10 points. Every time he places his elbow on the table or talks with food in his mouth, he loses a point. By the end of dinner, if he has no points left he can't eat dessert.

  3. Step 3

Thirdly, play a fun game about opening and closing doors. Every time your child walks through a door, teach him to hold it for the person behind him. Every time he forgets or fails to hold the door open he loses a point. When he does hold the door open he wins a point. Ten points wins a prize.
