How to Use a Blender Marker

A blender marker helps to blend colors from solvent colored inks. It works by softening the ink on the paper and blurs out the hard lines. One interesting trick with the blender marker is its effectiveness in making artistic, reversed photo copy pictures of an original image and even letters. You can be creative with your artistic works by using a blender marker.

Instructions

    • 1

Copy your image in black-and-white on a piece of paper. You can accomplish this in two ways: either user a laser printer or use a photocopy machine since both have options for printing in black and white. Inkjet copies will not work as the pen is ineffective on them.

    • 2

Take a blank piece of paper. You might want to use a larger piece than the paper with the image, as this will be the page the picture will transfer to. It will be easier to brush the blender marker around the edges of the image.

    • 3

Place the blank paper on a hard surface, then press the paper with the picture on top. The back part of the paper with the image should be facing up as this will be the area where you apply the blender marker.

    • 4

Rub the blender marker over the back of the picture. Try not to move the image as you will smudge the transferring process and the picture will look inconsistent and blurred.

    • 5

Let the marker application dry for a few minutes. When you are ready, lift the old image up to see a mirrored transfer of the original picture on the new page.
