Are weighty matters getting your shelving down? An armoire can be used to store off-season clothing, linens and even audio-visual equipment. At some point, the weight of such items can cause the shelves to sag. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

-
1
Look under the shelf that sags to determine what sort of shelving brackets are holding it in place.
-
2
Go to the hardware store to find the same bracket, or one that looks similar. If you cannot find the same bracket, choose one that is roughly the same size in a style that you like.
-
-
3
Use the measuring tape to measure from one side of the inside of the armoire to the other in the location of the sagging shelf.
-
4
Mark, with a pencil, where the center is under the sagging shelf, using the tape measure to help you find the center.
-
5
Push the shelf up to level and hold the new bracket on the center mark to determine where the bracket needs to go in order to level the shelf. Use a pencil to color in the screw holes once you have figured out where you need to place the bracket.
-
6
Remove the bracket you have been holding, and remove the sagging shelf.
-
7
Hold the bracket back up so that the screw holes are aligned with the pencil circles that you colored. Once things are lined up properly, use the screws to affix the new bracket.
-
8
Reinstall the shelf.
