Outlook Express is the go-to email program in many offices and homes. It stores emails on your computer for easy access and manages the email, phone number, and address information of all your associates. Attaching a picture can be a little tricky if you are new to Outlook Express. Once you understand the basic process and send a few emails, you'll attach pictures and files like a pro.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Outlook Express
  • Picture file
  1. Step 1

    Click "Create Mail" in the upper left-hand corner of Outlook Express.

  2. Step 2

    Type the email address you'd like to send the picture to in the "To:" section in the upper left-hand side of the email.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Insert" in the upper middle of the email window.

  4. Step 4

    Click "File Attachment" in the drop-down list under "Insert."

  5. Step 5

    Select "Browse" in the pop-up window.

  6. Step 6

    Browse to the location on your computer where you have stored your picture. If you have the picture stored in "My Pictures," you will need to select "My Pictures" in the drop-down "Look in" box.

  7. Step 7

    Select "OK" in the pop-up window.

  8. Step 8

    Type a subject in the "Subject:" section in the middle of the email, as desired.

  9. Step 9

    Type text in the email text section, as desired.

  10. Step 10

    Click "Send" in the upper left-hand corner of the email window.
