Things You'll Need:
- Replacement belt
- Flat-head screwdriver

Step 1
Unplug the vacuum from the power source.

Push the handle lever so the handle is laying flat on the floor, then flip the vacuum over so you have access to the bottom of the vacuum cleaner.

Locate the locking screws on the brush and belt cover on the bottom of the vacuum. Turn the screws counterclockwise with a flat-head screwdriver. This will unlock the screws. The number of screws will depend upon your particular model of Shark vacuum.

Lift up and remove the brush and belt cover to gain access to the belt area.

Step 5
Lift up one side of the brush roller and then the other side. Slide the old belt off the roller and out from around the pulley.

Step 6
Insert the new belt around the pulley, and then slide it over the brush roller. Snap the roller back into place.

Step 7
Turn the brush roll by hand a few times to make sure the belt is lined up properly.

Step 8
Replace the brush and belt cover and lock into place by turning the screws clockwise.
