How to Keep Silver Necklaces From Tangling

While it may be convenient to store your necklaces in a jewelry box drawer, the downside is that they will often get tangled up with each other. This is especially true with silver necklaces. Here are ways to avoid the problem.

Things You'll Need

• Jewelry chest
• Nails
• Hammer
• Cork board
• Push pins
• Straw

Instructions

1. Purchase a jewelry chest that has hangers. These hangers are designed to keep the necklaces separate so that they don't get tangled.

2. Hammer small nails about one inch apart in your closet. You can make a row from left to right and hang one necklace on each hanger.

3. Set a cork board up on a wall in your bedroom. Stick push pins in the cork board an inch apart. Hang one necklace from each pin.

4. Use one drinking straw to store each necklace. You can thread the silver chain through the straw. When it comes out, clasp the two ends together. The straw keeps the silver necklaces from getting tangled.

• Don't store the silver necklaces in plastic zipper bags because they will still get tangled.
