One of the new additions in Saints Row 2 is the ability to create female characters. Female characters were not available for Saints Row 1, on any platform, but in the sequel it is an option when creating a new character. Female characters in Saints Row 2 have the same fighting and movement style, and the only difference is some minor changes in the dialogue during game play.

Open the Xbox 360 console by pressing the gray button on the left side of the front. Put in the disc for Saints Row 2. Lightly push the disc tray in to close it (or push the gray button again).

Push the large green bulls-eye button to start up the Xbox 360 and load Saints Row 2.

Allow the game to scroll through its opening credits, where you will see two policemen walking through a hospital.

Begin the "create a character" process. The gender selection option is the second choice you will make when creating a new character. Select "female." To do this, when the screen appears that says "gender" at the top, there will be two options: male and female. Using your controller, highlight "female" and then scroll down to the "OK" button.

Finish creating your character by selecting your character's other attributes, such as her skin color, hair, build, height, as well as other features, such as the character's facial structure and jaw size. For each of these attributes, a new screen will appear with multiple options for these features. Use your controller to scroll through these and view how they will change your character's appearance. Select one and progress to the next screen by hitting the "OK" button.
