It doesn’t take very much to breed your pets in The Sims 2 Pets game. You are able to breed a dog or a cat in The Sims 2 Pets. The benefits of breeding your pets are to have your active pets genetics carry on to their offspring. Another benefit of breeding your Sims 2 pets would be that you can sell your offspring to other households on the game.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • The Sims 2
  • The Sims 2 Pets expansion pack
  • You need a pet in your Sims household
  • Your pet must have a “friendship” status with another pet.
  • One of your Sims needs a relationship of “master” with at least one of your pets.
  • Make sure you have a dog house
  1. Step 1

Make sure your Sims household has met all requirements that I have listed, such as a Sim with a "master" status to at least one pet in the household, a pet with a "friendship" status to another pet, and obtain a dog house.

  2. Step 2

Have the "master" of your pet be the active player by choosing that Sim to influence your pet.

  3. Step 3

Once the "master" of your pet is active, click on the dog house.

  4. Step 4

Once you click on the dog house you will see an option of "Try For Puppy/Kitten With...", you will chose that, along with the pets name you would like your pet to breed with.

Tips & Warnings
  • To achieve "master" status of a pet, play with or show love to your pet often.
  • Allow your pet to play with other pets often, so that your pet can gain "friendship" status with another pet.
  • Once you your pets are in the dog house, the dog house will rock back and forth and make plenty of noise. Once the dog house settles you will hear a chime that signifies your pet is pregnant.
  • If you don't hear this chime, try again.
