If you play paintball you are bound to get shot sooner or later, it is just part of the game. Knowing and applying these tips, however, can help you avoid getting shot as much in paintball games.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stay close to your bunker. When you pop out to shoot, give your opponents as small of a target as possible. Keep your elbow in, keep your hopper close to the bunker, and keep your head in. Lean out just enough to shoot at your target. The less you expose to your opponents, the less chance there is of them shooting you.

  2. Step 2

Play smart. Life doesn't work like the movies. You may envision yourself running down the field eliminating 20 players while dodging paint balls, but the chances of that happening are slim. Players that go crazy and say, "I'm going to run in there and shoot them all," moments later are usually found walking to the dead box absolutely covered in paint.

  3. Step 3

Don't run or stand out in the open. When you move, use other bunkers ahead of you to cover you as you move. The more time you spend behind cover, the less chance you have of being shot.

  4. Step 4

Move up the sides of the field. When you move up the middle of the field, opponents can come at you straight on, on the right and on the left. When you move up on a side of the field, opponents can come at you straight and from just one side.
