Things You'll Need:
- Suspicion
-
Step 1
-- Better Business Bureau --
Contact the Better Business Bureau to determine the status and background of the company in question. -
Step 2
-- Up-Front Funds --
Look for up-front funds. Be suspicious whenever money is required up front for materials, products, or information. -
Step 3
-- Research --
Do your own research into work-at-home opportunities. Go to your local library and use the “Work-at-Home Sourcebook” and any other resources that may be available to you. -
Step 4
-- Ask Mass Amounts of Questions --
Ask as many questions as you can think of for the company in question. Legitimate companies will have answers for you and will be glad to provide you with them! -
Step 5
-- No Personal Information --
Do not give anyone your personal information when you are first inquiring about a company. Any information about you can come as a last step after the legitimacy of the company checks out.
