Step 1
Start with a moisturizing foot scrub that will soften your feet and heal any cracks as well as remove dead skin cells. Massage your feet well with the foot scrub and then rinse them completely.
Next smooth away calluses with a gentle file and make sure you focus on the areas of your feet that are the driest. Focus on your heels and the balls of your feet. You may be scared of some foot files out there, but they won't cut you! Depending on the condition of your feet they sell different files. -
Step 2
Now trim your nails and file them into a square shape without sharp edges. Keep the length to just the edge of your nail bed.
Apply a good moisturizing lotion onto your feet and massage it in well. -
Step 3
Then apply a base coat to your nails. Now apply two coats of the color of your choice. Finish the look with a top coat. Choose one with a sunscreen to help avoid fading from the sun. If you want to place decals on your nails then polish them first and then wait about 2-3 minutes before applying the decals. Apply the top coat over the decal to lock it in place. These decals make it look like you went to a salon without spending the price!

Step 4
Try a hot shade for this summer like one of the following.
Rose colored shades
Tangerine shades
Grape colors
Metallics
Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Color in Flash (a pretty blue shade)
Now your ready to put on those sandals!
