With summer here you may want to wax your bikini area but are scared of the pain. Here is a way you can wax your bikini area and make it as painless as possible!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • baby powder
  • wax strips
  • lotion
  1. Step 1

Buy a good body wax strip kit and follow the directions below. You should also allow your hair to grow out for a couple days prior to waxing for best results.

First you want to exfoliate the area you are intending to wax to help remove dead skin cells and it also helps the hair to break through the surface so the wax can grab the hairs better. You can either use a body exfoliating scrub or simply use a washcloth with soap.

  2. Step 2

Before you wax, apply baby powder to the area. This will soften the area and absorb moisture so the wax will stick to your hair and not just your skin.

Then you want to rub a precut wax strip between your hands to warm it up, then gently press it onto the area you want to wax. Gently pull your skin taut, and pull the wax strip off quickly in the opposite direction your hair grows. Continue to do this with a new strip until all your hair is gone.

  3. Step 3

Now you want to soothe the area with a healing oil like tea tree which works great! You can also use a chamomile extract which will soothe the area well. Dab it onto the area with a cotton pad or your fingers to help prevent any redness as well as ingrown hairs. This is a step that should not be skipped! Lotion can also help soothe the area and stop any redness from staying to long.
