A French twist is an elegant, even unique way to wear hair for prom. Here is how to do it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • hair pins or
  • rhinestone claw clips
  • rhinestone hair comb
  • dressy hair decorations
  • a fun, experimentive mood
  • creativity
  1. Step 1

    Gently comb and detangle hair.

  2. Step 2

Gather your hair as if you were going to put it into a low pony tail, but instead start twisting it.

  3. Step 3

At shoulder length you may or may not have shorter pieces falling to the sides-that's ok.

  4. Step 4

Once you have it twisted, start tucking the end part under towards your scalp. Keep doing that all down the "ponytail".

  5. Step 5

Take a rhinestone hair comb, decorative claw clip, or bobby pin and begin pinning the whole side in place.

  6. Step 6

If you have some shorter pieces you can either let them be, or pin them up with hair pins.

  7. Step 7

Decorate around the French Twist as YOU personally like. Let your creativity come out-rhinestone, sparkles, have fun with it!

  8. Step 8

Use a little finishing spray or gel if you wish.
