      Go to a relaxing place such as a quiet room or outside in nature next to a running river. Go anywhere you will feel relaxed and calm.

      Sit down in Seiza position. This is done by following the image or by kneeling down and sitting on the knees with torso straight. Be sure to cross feet slightly behind you so that your big toes cross over each other.

      Close your eyes with your hands on your thighs or you can perform Kuji-In motions with your hands if you want. See links for more information about Kuji-In Warrior Techniques.

      Breath in through your nose deeply. Hold your breath for seven seconds and exhale through the mouth. Each breath should take at least seven seconds in order to relax completely and clear the mind.

      Start out doing this for about 3-5 minutes per day. Increase this to 10 minutes per day for a greater challenge.

Tips & Warnings

  • Meditating will enhance your awareness of things and keep you calm during stressful situations.

  • You can meditate everywhere for as long as you want. Meditate at work for a few seconds when feeling stressed to calm yourself in order to focus better.

  • Do not be anywhere there is alot of noise and stress.
