Step 1
Create a budget. Saving money isn't always easy. Many times you find that there is none left at the end of the month and sometimes you aren't really sure where it all went. A budget can make things a little more clear. If you make sure to budget savings into your monthly spending, you will be able to set money aside for your goals before it is all gone.

Step 2
Pay yourself first. If you find it hard to resist spending your budgeted savings money, then you could consider having money directly deposited from your pay check into a savings account. You can't spend what isn't there.
-
Step 3
Look for ways to spend less. If you can't seem to figure out how to save money because you don't have the extra money to save, then you will need to look for ways to cut your spending. There are many, many ways you can do this. The first step of creating a budget will help you see where your money is going and identify areas where you may be overspending. Some tips for cutting spending include packing a lunch for work or carpooling to save on gas. See the resources section below for more detailed tips on cutting spending and more information on how to save money.
-
Step 4
Look For Ways To Earn More. This is what you need to do if you want to know how to save money for a house when you don't have extra money and can't cut your spending. You can earn more money by getting a different job, getting a second job, working overtime at your current job, selling items around your home or working from home in your spare time. While the job market isn't great right now, there are still several ways you can increase your income. See the resources section below for information on how to earn $1,000 a month from home. Good luck!
