There are many ways you can control bugs in your garden. Some require the use of pesticides while nature has provided simple ways to control the bugs in your garden. This article will go over what you can do to control bugs in your garden this summer.

    The first thing you need to do is identify the type of bugs in your garden that you are trying to control. Each bug or pest has different things or steps you can take to control their population in your garden. Once you have identified the pest, here is how you can control each of the most popular types you will find in your garden.

  2. Step 2

    Slugs and snails can be controlled by a very simple method. Put a small dish out somewhere in the garden that is out of sight and pour a half can of beer in it. Slugs and snails are attracted to the smell and will climb in and drown. This is a very simple and effective method to control slugs and snails in your garden.

  3. Step 3

    Ants can be controlled through the use of a few common kitchen items such as ground cinnamon or table salt. Ants in your garden are common all summer long and while you can always find a pesticide to help, these two natural ingredients work as a deterrent for ants and if you sprinkle it around the area where you are finding them, they will go away and you will have your ant issues in your garden under control.

    Mosquito’s can really take the fun out of your garden if you can not control the mosquito population. To get your mosquito’s under control this year, combine a little bit of citronella oil with Vaseline. This will create a rub that you can apply to areas around the garden which will act as a deterrent for mosquitos throughout the year.

    Japanese Beetles can be controlled in your garden by setting a trap for them in your garden. Japanese beetle traps can be found in almost every shop that has any plants in it and are very effective to control the Japanese Beetles in your garden. They are simply a small container or fabric that has bait inside of it which attracts them. Once in the trap they are unable to escape.
