Buy the Right Bikini for Your Body

Bikini season can be an ordeal for many women. You qualify if you dread going shopping for your summer suit—and this rings a bell: "I need to lose weight," "I will just never go to the pool/beach" or "I will just leave my coverup on."

C'mon, that's no way to live. Follow my easy steps for choosing a swim suit—and actually enjoy soaking up that sun!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Buy a bikini that fits. Nothing hurts more than the vision of the underbelly of a boob popping out.

  2. Step 2

Don't choose tricked out, beaded, embellished and busy bikinis (unless you're bone thin or perfect).

  3. Step 3

Keep in mind that a 20-dollar triangle bathing suit in a solid color can go a long way.

  4. Step 4

Really think about the "bottom" line. Don't wear a string if it cuts into you like a sausage. Don't go too tight and cut off your circulation. Know if you are a low-waisted or regular gal.

  5. Step 5

Buy simple, what fits—and don't be a "busybody."

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are pale, put self-tanner on and don't wear a light-colored bathing suit.
  • No one has a problem with a one piece. Sometimes it's classier. Particularly if you're over 30; you don't have to show everything at once.
