Your child works hard to create a special picture, but how do you show how proud you are? These are usually pieces filled with color and sometimes texture. Some pictures are more abstract than others, but all of them fill your heart with pride. Think about displaying the artwork in a place of honor instead of stuffing the art into a box.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Child's art
  • A cheap frame (mat optional)
  1. Step 1

Find a picture your child has drawn or painted. Another option is to commission your budding artist to make a new picture.

  2. Step 2

Decide where in your home or office you wish to display the artwork. Ideally, the art's location will be where you and your child will see it frequently.

  3. Step 3

Purchase a frame with or without a mat that fits the style of the space in which it will be hung. The frame need not be expensive, it just adds extra elegance or "specialness" to your child's art.

  4. Step 4

Hang the framed picture. Step back with your child and talk about how much you appreciate the artwork. This step is important in helping your child see himself as capable of great work.

  5. Step 5

Change the featured artwork periodically as your child brings you new masterpieces.

Tips & Warnings
  • Give as much praise to your child as you would to Picasso or Manet. Try to praise the effort as much or more than the final product.
