Step 1
***Choose a Theme***
First, pick a fun theme that will be the foundation for your party such as Cinco de Mayo or Asian, or you can pick a pop culture reference like Sex in the City or the 80s. -
Step 2
***Create a Signature Cocktail***
Second, plan a signature cocktail that is easy to make and consists of 3-4 ingredients. A signature cocktail is a good way to bring together your theme such a margaritas for Cinco de Mayo or Cosmopolitans for Sex in the City. Having a signature cocktail also cuts down on the expense of purchasing other alcoholic drinks for your party. -
Step 3
***Recruit Your Friends***
Third, get your friends involved with the planning. Have them bring ice for the drinks, or snacks related to your theme, or have them bring their ipods to create playlists so they can take turns deejaying during the party. -
Step 4
***Make Easy Finger Foods***
Fourth, make easy finger foods or buy prepared foods at the local grocery store. Easy finger foods can be chips and guacamole, or spinach and artichoke dip, or a cheese and cracker tray. Finger foods that are easy to prepare can free up your time to entertain your guests and enjoy your party. -
Step 5
***Send Out Simple Invites***
Five, remember to send out invites. Invitations don't need to be extravagant. There are many websites like Evite.com that make it easy to send out invitations to your friends. They often have templates, so the only thing you need to do is fill in some basic info about your party and location.
