      Fill a spray bottle three quarters of the way with moderately warm water.

      Add one or two squirts of dish soap into the spray bottle. Tighten the spray bottle cap.

      Spray the sudsy mixture on the inlet connections of the pool pump. Spray the mixture around the pump housing as well as the plumbing connections.

      Watch the surface of the pump where your sprayed the mixture for bubbles starting to form. The formation of bubbles will identify air leaks. Use a grease marker to indicate where the air leak is occurring.
