Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Weave net
  • Weave
  • Scissors
  • Latch hook
  • Thread and needle
  1. Step 1

Gather some hair approximately 4 inches from your hairline. This will allow some hair to cover the weave net. If you are doing a complete weave, cornrow as much of your real hair as possible so that the weave will not be lumpy.

  2. Step 2

Place the weave net over your hair 4 inches from your hairline, all the way around your head. Use thread the same color of your hair. Sew the net to the cornrows around the circumference of your head to keep the net in place. Cut off any remaining net.

  3. Step 3

Prepare the weave. Make sure there are no tangles. Cut strands from the band so you can latch hook the hair where you want, rather than only in rows. Cut shorter hair first and wet it down so the strands are easier to work with. Fold the hair to make it half the length.

  4. Step 4

Place the latch hook through a hole in the net where you want to begin. Start in the middle and work outward. Make sure that the latch hook is closed when placing it through the hole. Open the latch hook and place the hair in the hook at the fold. Close the latch hook and pull the hair half-way through.

  5. Step 5

Remove the latch hook from the strand of hair. Tie the strand of hair into a firm knot.

  6. Step 6

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you are finished. It isn't necessary to fill up all of the holes in the net. Make sure that no net or cornrows are showing and that the hair looks full.

Tips & Warnings
  • Start out with small strands and work up to longer pieces. This will give your hair a fuller appearance.
