How to Clean Columbia Sandals

Columbia Sportswear Company makes quality sandals. It makes sandals for men, women and children in various styles and colors. These sandals can be worn to the beach, park or just for fun around the house. They may get dirty easily, but they are simple to clean with a hose.

Things You'll Need

• Hose
• Bucket
• Water
• Ivory dish soap
• Old rag
• Baking soda
• Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Instructions

1. Turn the hose on and rinse the sand off of your sandals. This cleaning method works if your only wore your sandals to the beach.

2. Fill a bucket with warm water and a spoonful of Ivory dish soap. Wipe down your Columbia sandals with an old rag that has been dipped in to the soapy water. Rinse the sandals off with a hose and allow them to dry in the sun. This cleaning method works on shoes that are slightly dirty from normal wear.

3. Add 1/4 of a cup of baking soda to a bucket of warm water. Use this mixture to scrub your sandals if they are really dirty. The baking soda will also help to deodorize the sandals.

4. Buy a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser from your local grocery store. Scrub any scuff marks or stains on your Columbia sandals with this eraser and they will magically disappear. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser won't damage your sandals. Once you have gotten the marks off, you can clean your sandals with one of the above methods.

Tips & Warnings

• You can throw your Columbia sandals in a load of wash, but do not put them in the dryer. Allow them to dry naturally.

• High heat can melt the plastic on the sandals.
