Baking soda isn't just for baking. It is for cleaning and deodorizing as well. Baking soda is a natural product that is safe for you and your family. It cleans and freshens your home so that you don't have to worry about chemicals on your furniture and in the air you are breathing.

Instructions

1. Add 3 tbsp. baking soda to 1 cup boiling water. Pour the mixture down your garbage disposal and rinse well. Do this once a week to keep your garbage disposal fresh and odor free.

2. Sprinkle baking soda onto your rugs and carpet. Allow to sit for half an hour before vacuuming. This works especially well if you have indoor pets.

3. Open a box of baking soda and put it in the back of your fridge to keep the fridge smelling clean and odor free. The baking soda will absorb the odors that can often be found in your fridge.

4. Add one box of baking soda to your litter box, and place the kitty litter on top of the baking soda. This will significantly reduce the odor from your cat's litter box.

5. Fill your washing machine with hot water, add 1 cup of baking soda to the water, and run the cycle as normal. This will get rid of a musty smell in your washing machine may have. Sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of your dishwasher before you run the cycle. This will clean the inside of the dishwasher at the same time your dishes are being cleaned.

6. Wash out your plastic containers that have absorbed odors from leftover foods. Fill the containers with hot water, and add 1 tbsp. baking soda to each. Allow the containers to soak for half an hour before rinsing.

7. Wet your hands with warm water and baking soda after cooking with onion, garlic, and other foods with strong odors. Scrub your hands together, and the smell will be gone.
