How to Make a Flash Animation Online

You can't go anywhere on the Internet without seeing Flash animation. It's used for ads, logos and even online games. You may have wanted to create such flash animations yourself, but didn't think you could afford the money to buy the software or the time to learn it. But now you don't have to. Using Shapeshifter, aniBoom's free online Flash creator, you can make your own customized animations.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the aniBoom site and launch the Shapeshifter utility (see Resources). Choose a color to use for the objects you will animate by clicking on the color swatch panel on the left.

    • 2

Choose one of the shapes you see in the Shapes panel, such as a square. It will appear on the screen. Use the handles to resize it if you want.

    • 3

Use the "Move" tool to drag the square up almost out of site at the top of the screen. Make sure you can still see the edge of the square.

    • 4

Go to the timeline, and click on the "+" button until the timeline shows 10 frames. Click again on the first frame. Select the "Onion Skin" tool, and then move to the next frame.

    • 5

Drag the square down until it has moved half its own width, overlapping the faded square in the previous frame. Continue doing this with each frame, until the square has moved off the bottom of the screen. Now go to "Save" and name your animation, and there you have it. Of course, you can use the tools to create much more complex animations than this.
