Computers will automatically play files or run the programs on a disc such as a computer game only if you save the files with a specific file extension, called ISO. Here's how to download an ISO creation tool, and then convert files into the ISO format to burn them to a disc.

Insert a blank CD or DVD into the computer's rewritable CD or DVD drive. Click on "Burn a CD" from the options menu that will appear on the screen. Drag the ISO file you created earlier into the window, then click on "Burn" to create the disc image.

Tips & Warnings

  • ISO creation tools do not check to see if the data you are trying to burn to a CD is copyright protected. You should be aware that burning extra copies of copyrighted material such as computer games or DVD movies may be in violation of copyright law, and could lead to legal repercussions.
