How to Arrange Initial Wedding Cake Tops

The wedding cake is often the most remembered food item of the wedding. From the icing color to the intricate details, your cake should be unforgettable. Things You'll Need

• Wedding cake
• Initial wedding cake top
• Icing knife
• Extra edible décor pieces

Instructions

1. Smooth out icing at the top of the wedding cake using the icing knife. Remove any edible décor that is in the middle of the wedding cake.

2. Gently place initial(s) 2 to 3 inches from the front of the cake, in the center.

3. Take five steps back from the cake to determine if the initials are placed straight and centered. Rearrange or re-place if necessary and repeat.

4. Smooth icing around the initials that may have been disturbed using the icing knife.

5. Add extra edible décor around the wedding cake top initials to blend the initials with the rest of the design.
