Build a Dresser Out of Cardboard
Build a Dresser Out of Cardboard

Do you just need to get all your clothes off the floor? Or are your child's toys taking over their room? Tight on cash? Are looking for a quick fix, not a piece of furniture that will last through generations?

I'll teach you how to make a dresser out of cardboard. It's quick, cheap, and stylish (since recycling & reusing is hot these days).

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • lots of cardboard
  • cutting blade
  • duct tape
  • paint (optional)
  1. Step 1

    FIND BOXES WITH TALL LIDS

You'll need boxes with lids as tall as the box itself. So no shoe boxes, but try looking the next time you go to Costco or Sam's Club.

  2. Step 2

    ARRANGE THE LIDS

Set the boxes to the side. Arrange the lids in a visually appealing way. You can do a basic rectangle, or you could try a pyramid, swirl, whatever you like. Then duct tape together. Cut the front sides off the box lids.

  3. Step 3

    INSERT DRAWERS

Now, working with the boxes, choose which side will be the front of each drawer. Cut a small hole in the front of each box to use as a drawer pull. Last, insert boxes into lids & your dresser is done.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cheap chic is in right now & probably will be for as long as this dresser lasts. But if you wanted to you could paint, wallpaper or gift wrap your dresses.
  • This piece won't last forever, but at least start with boxes that don't have food on them or are soaked.
