Step 1
The first thing to remember, is that you have to have an actual legitimate complaint about your service provider. (You can't just make up something.) It may help your case to research your complaint on the company's website. This way you are very educated on the subject.
-
Step 2
Your next step is to find the customer service number, and call it. Be prepared to hold, and get frustrated. This will happen, but don't give up.
Once you get on the phone with a customer rep, tell them that you are NOT satisfied with your service and state the reason. Be firm. Next you should suggest a solution. Such as, "Are there any customer programs you can offer to help me feel better about staying with your service like a free month of service?". -
Step 3
More than likely, you will get transferred to a different department. Keep waiting. Repeat the same step again. This time, suggest that you will be dropping your service and finding a different provider. They will meet your requests, and you will get a free a service to make up your mind to stay or not.

on 10/21/2009 Ahah! Wish this worked. I had a nightmare with T-Mobile, and they would not only refuse to give me what the contract stipulated, but they wouldn't let me out of it either. So glad we got out.
