Crocheted flowers can be added to almost any craft project to give it a finishing touch. I came up with this design to decorate my crochet covered wooden hangers. They can be added to adorn slippers, scarves, hats, or any other crochet project. Finished size is approximately 2 1/2".

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • worsted weight yarn
  • size G crochet hook
  • scissors
  • tapestry needle
  1. Step 1

Chain 8 loosely and slip stich to beginning chain to form a loop.

  2. Step 2

Chain 1. Single crochet 20 times in ring. Slip stitch to first single crochet.

  3. Step 3

    * Single crochet and double crochet in next stitch. Triple crochet in next stitch. Double crochet and single crochet in next stitch. Slip stitch in next stitch. Repeat from * around. Slip stitch into beginning stitch. Tie off and weave in loose ends to finish.

  4. Step 4

Using a tapestry needle and a length of yarn, attach flower motif to your favorite craft project. Five petal flower is shown here on crochet covered wooden hangers.

Tips & Warnings
  • To have a different colored center, tie off after step 2 and change yarns.
