How to Replace Your Military Medals
No military medal issued by the U.S. military is too big or too small to be replaced, if need be. The most highly regarded medal is the Medal of Honor, which is issued by the president of the United States for gallantry above and beyond the call of duty. Other medals, such as the Silver Star and Bronze Medal, are issued under particular criteria for heroism and distinguished service. A replacement medal will be issued as long as it can be verified that you were originally awarded the medal for which you are seeking a replacement.
