Almost everyone loves a good Bloody Mary but have you ever had a "great" Bloody Mary. This article will tell you how to make a great Jalapeno Bloody Mary.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • SKYY Vodka
  • Premium tomato juice
  • 10 oz cocktail glass
  • 1 1/2 oz shot glass
  • salt glass rimmer with Sweet and Sour soaked sponge
  • crushed ice
  • Tabasco Green Jalapeno Pepper Sauce
  • black pepper
  • Original Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 - 1/8 lime wedges
  • celery salt
  • 1 small celery stick, trimed
  1. Step 1

Put a nice coating of salt on the rim of the cocktail glass using the rimmer. Allow salt a couple of seconds to dry and firm up.

  2. Step 2

Using a small scoop or glass, carefully add crushed ice to within 1/4 inch of salt on rim of glass.

  3. Step 3

Using the shot glass, add vodka, a couple of shakes of black pepper and a liberal splash of Worcestershire to ice. Fill glass with tomato juice to just cover the crushed ice.

  4. Step 4

Add 4 dashes of Tabasco Green Jalapeno Sauce (or to taste) to mixture. Squeeze the juice of two wedges of lime into tomato juice mix adding the lime wedges. Sprinkle celery salt sparingly on top of mixture and stir carefully with a bar spoon. Garnish with a celery stick.

  5. Step 5

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Once you start the process of making a great Jalapeno Bloody Mary you should take as little time as possible in completing the drink once the vodka is poured over ice.
  • Tabasco Green Jalapeno Sauce is not as hot as the Original Tabasco Pepper Sauce so a little more is better.
  • When using Tabasco Green Jalapeno Sauce a little more may be better but remember it's still Tabasco!

on 7/5/2009 I like this version of the bloody mary. The jalapeno flavor is a nice touch. Different but tasty.
