Things You'll Need:
- Phillip screw driver
- Faucet handle puller
- New stems
- 6 inches crescent wrench
- Small screw driver
-
Step 1
First look underneath the sink and locate two angle stop valves for hot and cold water supply to the faucet. Turn both the handles on the angle stop valves clockwise to stop both the hot and cold water. Open both the hot and cold water handles on the faucet to release any water pressure left on the water lines.
-
Step 2
On the very top of the faucet handles is a plastic snap on cover for the handle' s hold down screw. Use your small screw driver and pop the plastic cover off. Take your Phillip head screw driver and loosen the hold down screw on both the hot and cold water side.
-
Step 3
Take your faucet handle puller and pull both the faucet' s handles off the faucet.
-
Step 4
Use your 6 inches crescent wrench and fit it to the stem's housing and turn it counter clockwise and loosen the screw on both handles. Be careful that you don't loose a plastic O ring for the stem.
