Step 1
For Mouth Wash: Quince has unique healing properties that can be used to heal mouth ulcers and helps to eliminate germs from the mouth. Simmer quince seeds in one pint of water. Steep for several hours. Discard the seeds. Add one tablespoon of brandy (or sherry). Pour into a plastic container and store in the refrigerator.

Step 2
Burn Healer: Plain quince water (water and quince seeds without the brandy or sherry) is a commonly used home remedy for burns. Quince helps moisturize and revitalize the damaged skin.

For Hair Lotion: Quince is used for a hair setting lotion. Simmer a tablespoon of quince seed in a half pint of water until it thickens. Strain out the seeds. Pour the contents into a plastic container and add five or six drops of gin.
