How to Talk to Girls You're Interested In

If you see a girl that interests you, or you already know a girl that you'd like to get to know better, there are definite steps to take. If you want to learn how to talk to girls, what you don't say is just as important as what you do say.

1. Be confident and funny. There are no better traits to have than confidence and a good sense of humor. What you look like and how much money you have matter far, far less than how much confidence you have and how funny you can be. These two traits compensate for a LOT, so practice them if you don't have them. Approach a girl with a confident smile on your face, and don't be afraid to try a witty observation or two.

2. Forget the lines. NEVER approach a girl with a line. Unfortunately, most girls have heard every line that exists and have been hearing them since early high school. If you try to talk to a girl and open with a line, she will immediately be on guard. Throw them away completely. If you have never met the girl before, the best way to open the conversation is to tell her you name. That's a non-threatening way to show that you're interested and that you haven't approached everyone else in the place already with the same cheesy line. You will appear more sincere and have a chance of getting to know the girl.

3. Ask plenty of questions. If you want to show that you are interested, ask her about herself, her tastes, whether she likes the food or the music, how long she's lived there and anything else you can think of. Try to talk about her as much as you can to show your interest. Girls, and women, appreciate being asked their opinions and will be intrigued at a guy who sincerely wants to know about them.

4. Let her steer the conversation. She doesn't want to hear about your weightlifting. Seriously. Girls and women like to see the results of the weightlifting, but we don't care to hear you bragging about it. If she is interested in you, she will steer the conversation toward you and will ask you questions about yourself.

5. Remember what the girl said. Whether you already know the girl and want to start dating her or you just met her, remember what she's saying to you and mention some of it later in the conversation. This shows that you are making a sincere effort to try to get to know her. This is a big deal to girls and women, and it will get you a lot further than saying how much you can bench press.
