Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Newspaper advertisements,
  • Scissors,
  • Tape
  1. Step 1

Save Sunday newspaper advertisements from one week before Mother's Day. Look for ads from companies that have Mother's Day promotions such as department stores, drug stores, clothing stoes, and gift stores.

  2. Step 2

Pull one (or several if needed) sheet out of one of the ads. Wrap the gift with the sheet.

  3. Step 3

Cut out Mother's Day phrases, pictures of Mother's Day cards, pictures of flowers, hearts, balloons, etc.

  4. Step 4

Arrange the pieces in a decorative way on the top of the wrapped gift. Tape or glue them in place.

  5. Step 5

Get an ad that you have not cut yet to make a ribbon. Hold the folded edge of the ad.

  6. Step 6

Quickly tear a thin strip from the side of the ad. This should cause it to curl at the end. Repeat this step until you have enough to bunch together. Tape the group of strips to the gift like a ribbon.
