No one ever wants to be the “one” that has to deliver bad news. Weather your breaking up with someone or telling someone about a death in the family; this is never an easy job but is something you should always know how to do.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure the person is by themselves and you tell them in private. Never make it a public event unless you fear for your life, if that is the case; you should not be together anyway. Let the person know you do care about their feeling but do not allow yourself to make any open promises about the future.

  2. Step 2

If you are telling someone something deviastating, tell them slowly. Make sure they understand what you are saying. You do not want to leave them with any questions.

  3. Step 3

Do not try to tell the person you understand how they feel, you do not and will not. No matter what you have been though in life. At the same time; do not tell them you can’t imagine how they feel. Be careful about using lines like this.

  4. Step 4

Have a game plan for them. If they need to go to the hospital to see a loved one; make sure you have the transportation waiting on them. Do not leave them a person an “emotional wreak” , trying to make decisions for themselves
