- Surfboard

Step 1
First it easier to practice in the sand before you jump in the water. So the first step to this is to lay on your stomach on top of your surfboard. make sure there is about 1 foot of room between the top of your head and the top of the surfboard.

Put your feet behind you so your toes are being pressed on the surfboard and the back of your feet are vertical facing towards the back of the surfboard.

Put your hands parallel to your shoulders and right under your shoulders at the same time.

Then spring up using your feet and your hand to push up. Use your toes to spring up and put your feet spread apart and facing towards the side of the board. Keep low and crouch down.

Step 5
Once there is a wave coming start paddling toward the shore to gain speed. If you do not paddle the wave will just pass under you so make sure your going fast when paddling. Use the techniques above to stand up on the board when the wave is starting to break.

stay low and try to keep your balance. Once the wave ends STEP off your board and into the water*( see tips and warnings.
