Things You'll Need:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp instant coffee, any flavor
- 1 Tbsp hot water
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
- powdered sugar
- medium bowl
- 13x9 inch pan
- large bowl

Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees F

FOR CRUST: Combine 1 cup flour and sugar in the medium bowl. Mash butter into mixture until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly into bottom of ungreased pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

FOR BROWNIES: Combine the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, egg, 1/4 cup flour, vanilla extract and baking powder in a large bowl. Dissolve instant coffee in the hot water and add to cocoa mixture. Mix well. Stir in nuts if using them. Spread over baked crust. Crust does not have to be completely cooled before spreading mixture over it.

Bake 20 minutes or until center is set. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Alternative Topping: If you don't want to top with powdered sugar, you can frost with coffee flavored or chocolate icing.
