Fear Factor-themed parties usually have physical challenge games, but the most popular games tend to be the mental challenges. Mental Fear Factor challenges involve eating things like insects or animal organs. Although the food at a Fear Factor party should look unappealing, you should make it taste good so you're not left with wasted dishes.

Brain Dip

Video of the Day

Pour a 1/4 oz. packet of unflavored gelatin into 1/4 cup water to soften. In a large bowl, mix a can of heated undiluted cream of mushroom soup with 8 oz. of softened cream cheese. Stir in the gelatin, along with 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tbsp. of lemon juice and 1 lb. cooked shredded chicken or imitation crab. Make a mold to shape the dip by placing enough plastic wrap to cover the bottom and sides of a medium bowl, then pour in the dip. Wrap the dip tightly with plastic wrap and chill overnight. Uncover the dip and make brain crevices by using a knife handle to make squiggles across the top and sides of the dip. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

Eyeballs

Mix 1/2 cup of peanut butter with 2 tbsp. of softened butter, then stir in 1 cup of powdered sugar. Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls and place onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper for 20 minutes or until the mixture becomes dry and firm. Dip the peanut butter balls into melted vanilla candy coating (also known as almond bark) and place back onto the baking sheet. Add a small colored candy into the middle of each ball and let sit for 20 minutes to dry. Dab a small dot of black decorating gel into the middle of each colored candy to make a pupil. Use red decorating gel to add wavy lines around the rest of the balls for blood vessels.

Dirty Doughnuts

Add 1 cup of shredded coconut and 1 tbsp. green food coloring to a large plastic storage bag. Close the bag and shake until the coconut is evenly coated with the green food coloring. Add 12 chocolate sandwich cookies into another plastic storage bag and use a rolling pin to crush them until they form crumbs. Dip cake doughnuts into milk, then roll in the green coconut and crushed cookies to look like grass and dirt.
