Step 1
thanks to Apple for use of there logoThis is actually really easy to do. This called a hard reboot. All you have to do is hold the home button and the power button down at the same time for 30 to 40 seconds or until you get a Apple sign on your screen. This will reboot your ipod.
-
Step 2
If this does not work there is one other thing you can try to do. Hook your ipod touch up to your computer that you use itunes on. Itunes will detect a problem with your ipod. You can try a restore of your ipod from your computer.
-
Step 3
If this does not work its time to return or send your ipod back to apple so they can repair it. I talked on the phone with a apple technical support agent and this is what he had me do. So to save you a 45 minute phone call try this out.

on 9/27/2009 Great information to know! It being a hard 'reboot' it does not wipe anything off your iPod does it? It just rests it, correct?
Thanks for all the useful articles that you provide. Now if I can only get the 'write-off' removed from my monitor. LOL Just kidding!
