Step 1
You can clean a carburetor two different ways. One you can remove the carburetor ( see my other article for this). Or remove the top of the carburetor. It is alot easier to remove the carburetor completely so you are not have to bend over under the hood for awhile.

Step 2
So like i said i would recommend removing the carburetor. Set yourself up some place to work on it like a work table or in my case a TV tray.
Disconnect the linkage from the lid of the carburetor to the side of the carburetor. Remove the 6 to 8 bolts in the top of the carburetor. Set the bolt aside. -
Step 3
Remove the lid of the carburetor. Get a can of carburetor cleaner and spray out down everything really good.

Step 4
Next get a air compressor and spray in ever little hole. This will spray out and the fuel jets just in case there is crap in them. Use the air compressor to shoot out ever orifice in the carburetor. Last wipe it down to remove any other dirt that need to be remove.

Step 5
Put the carburetor back together and put it back the vehicle.
