This article is not a recipe for pancake batter. It is an article to show you how to turn a pancake breakfast into a fun and happy breakfast for your kids!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pancake batter
  • Imagination
  • Hungry kids
  1. Step 1

Make your pancake batter whatever way you make it. You can also buy ready made pancake batter. I have never tried the ready made batter because I'd rather save money by making my own. If you have never made pancake batter you can buy a box of pancake mix or Jiffy mix. They will have a very easy pancake recipe right on the box.

  2. Step 2

Heat your griddle or frying pan or whatever you use to make pancakes. Now here is the trick to making pancakes for kids: Pour the batter onto the griddle using a spoon so you can make detailed shapes or letters of the alphabet. You can write the child's name or you can make a snow man or a heart shape or whatever shape you can dream up! You can even make long pancake sticks... you don't have to be fancy. Just make it different!

  3. Step 3

When you serve the pancakes let each child have their very own syrup that they can pour on their pancakes. I take a small paper cup and I cut the top of the cup off so all that is left is a little short cup. It's perfect for holding a small amount of syrup then you can just throw the cup away (less dishes to do). Kids love having their own syrup. And instead of pouring the syrup on the pancakes they can use the syrup as dip! What fun!
