Things You'll Need:
- Anti-frizz deep conditioner
- Frizz-smoothing gel
- Blow dryer, diffuser, round bristle brush
- Straightening iron (optional)
- Almond oil
-
Step 1
Shampoo hair as usual, and wring out excess water. Apply a deep conditioning treatment and leave on for about 15 minutes. Rinse out with warm water, then run hair under cold water for a few seconds. The cold water will help to reduce frizz, and make it easier to airbrush frizzy hair. Try Herbal Essences None of Your Frizzness conditioner or smoothing leave-in creme.
-
Step 2
Towel dry hair slightly. Apply about a nickel-sized amount of frizz controlling gel into your palms and rub them together. Apply all over your hair, coating every strand. Run a comb through your locks to make sure the gel is dispersed evenly. Be careful not to apply too much as it can make your hair look greasy. Try John Frieda's Frizz-Ease serum.
-
Step 3
Blow dry your hair section by section. Use a round bristle brush and a diffuser to concentrate the hot air directly on your strands. Diffusers are used by hairstylists to airbrush frizzy hair, making it sleek and smooth. With a blow dryer, you can create natural curls or style your hair straight. For an even more airbrushed look, go over each strand with a straightening iron after blowdrying.
-
Step 4
Apply 1-2 drops of almond oil onto your palms and rub them together. Smooth the oil onto your hair to add instant gloss, and seal in that airbrushed look.
